GO DEEPER INTO PRESSURE X
What makes the Pressure X Core different?
The patent-pending Pressure X Core, powered by SSTCore™ technology, starts with a carbon-fiber structural system. Carbon provides the foundation for power, stability, and energy return, while engineered foam and targeted pressure work within that structure to refine dwell, rebound, vibration, sound, and feel.
Carbon defines. Foam refines. Pressure tunes.
How does SpinLock™ help maintain spin?
Our new patent-pending SpinLock™ goes beyond surface texture by combining peel-ply texture, friction-renewing particles, and the support of the carbon face and SSTCore™ structure. As the initial surface wears, fresh friction-enhancing particles are progressively exposed—designed to help maintain grip and spin performance over time.
What does Full-Face Performance Mapping™ mean?
Real play happens across the entire paddle face—not just at the center. Gearbox tests Pressure X at 20 impact locations, repeatedly striking the ball at a constant paddle speed and analyzing how performance changes from center to edge.
The result: 78–79% Sweet Spot Area and 87.7% Playable Surface.
Mapped. Not guessed.
How is Pressure X engineered to help resist disbonding?
Pressure X is built around a carbon-reinforced internal architecture designed to create stronger structural connections throughout the paddle. Rather than relying primarily on large foam-to-carbon bonded areas, the system uses carbon reinforcement and structural connections engineered to help resist disbonding and maintain more consistent performance over time.
Will Pressure X feel familiar if I already play a foam paddle?
Yes—but Pressure X isn't defined by foam alone. Engineered foam contributes the dwell, rebound and feel many foam-paddle players enjoy, while Gearbox's carbon-first structure provides the foundation for power, stability and energy return. Targeted pressure further tunes how each paddle responds.
The result is the benefits players look for from modern foam construction, engineered as part of a complete performance system.
What is the new USA Pickleball 2026 Spin Rate Test, and is Pressure X approved?
Yes. Pressure X is USA Pickleball approved and certified under the new 2026 Spin Rate Test.
Beginning October 1, 2026, USA Pickleball is moving from indirect surface roughness testing to a new standard that directly measures the spin a paddle produces, with a maximum limit of 2,100 RPM for newly certified paddles.
Pressure X was tested under this new standard and approved ahead of the October 1 implementation date.
Why would I buy the Pressure X Complete Set?
Think of it like a golf set: different conditions and situations can call for a different response. Pressure X brings that concept to pickleball with two distinctly tuned paddles within the same performance system.
The 8E gives you more time with the ball through extended dwell. The 8M gives you a quicker release and faster rebound. Ball, temperature, opponent, pace, and game plan can change—now your paddle response can too.
One system. Two responses. One complete setup.
